Guard Filter Systems
The complete absence of suspended solids is a fundamental requirement in a number of solid-liquid separation processes.
Particle fines can be found downstream a liquid filter due to inherent, poor solid retention or as a result of a failure or malfunctioning of the filter itself.
In order to prevent potential slippage of those particles to the next steps in the process, guard filters are most typically installed right downstream the main separation equipment.
DrM is able to thoroughly understand the exact needs of the end user and propose guard filters in two different executions, depending on the peculiarities of the application.
DrM holds a consolidated know-how and decades of experience in solid-liquid separation. Thanks to this, DrM can accurately evaluate both CAPEX and OPEX of a filtration system and propose the most economical technology (automatic backflushable filters vs. disposable cartridge filters vs. permanent cartridge filters) based on the specific process conditions (e.g. solid load, flow rate, temperature, chemical resistance etc.)
